My name is Lisa Jean and I'm a 20-year-old student. I'm studying human development and want to get a job working with autistic children once I graduate. When I'm not working on schoolwork I tend to be reading, cooking, or playing video games. I pretty much exclusively read young adult books (with some exceptions) and enjoy fantasy, romance, and adventure. I give higher rating to books that I think are worth re-reading. Because

Readiculously-Peachy

Readiculously-Peachy

My name is Florentine and I am a positive, bubbly, outspoken and open minded person. I would like to thank my wonderful parents for these traits, who took me from a small Caribbean island called Aruba, to the fantastic sophisticated city of Paris in France, and to the grounded but very international country also known as The Netherlands.

I have fallen in love with reviewing ever since I spotted book bloggers writing about their opinions on book they adore (or sometimes not so much). Throughout my blogging, I found the genres that I like the most and enjoy writing honest, constructive and creative reviews about.

I love Young Adult, dystopian, thriller, horror, adventurous, mystical, Sci-Fi, and romantic books! I would like to think that I am a very open minded person so I would almost be open to anything else that strikes my interest and may deviate a little from my book genre preferences.

We are two best friends who enjoy a good book, but even better we enjoy talking to each other about our great finds. Reading a book is one thing, but you learn so much more when you get to chat about it with your best friend.

Since we share our thoughts on books with each other anyways, we decided why not start a blog so we can share our good reads with everyone.

When we review a book here @ Inkk that we both have read, (which is most of them) we will give you both of our opinions.

Murder & Angst

Murder and Angst

Murder and Angst is a weekly blog about YA/Teen Mystery, Horror and Thriller in all of their forms, be it books, movies or TV series. Mystery, thriller and horror stories, particularly when written for and about teens, are notoriously underappreciated. The aim of this blog is to give them the attention that they deserve.

My name is Genevieve Hayes and after having to explain the appeal of teen mystery, horror and thriller stories one too many times, I decided to start this blog. I live in Melbourne, Australia, where I work as a statistician, as well as writing the monthly puzzle column, In the Margin, for Actuaries magazine.

Reading Until Dawn

Reading Until Dawn

Hey guys! Thanks for visiting my page at the YA Blogosphere! I'm 16 years old and as you can all probably guess, absolutely obsessed with anything book related. I've been reading for as long as I can remember but only just started getting really interested in 2012, right after I got my very first Kindle! I decided to start blogging about six months back because none of my face to face friends shared the same passion I had for reading. So instead of gushing about all of my fave books only to get weirded out faces in return, I decided to make a blog to find people who shared my bookish addiction!

I usually stick to reading books from the YA genre, but once in a while I'll delve into New Adult or Middle Grade books. For example, the Percy Jackson series. Because we all know that you can never be too old to read about his crazy adventures. xD My interests in the YA genre are Mythology, Paranormal, Dystopian, Fantasy, etc. The only books that I usually avoid are those of the Contemporary genre, which for some reason bore me to tears. I also tend to stay away from those of the ghost/zombie variety. There's just something about them....that scares the crap out of me. Other than that, I'm a pretty eclectic reader and not afraid to try new things!

When I'm not reading, you can find me at the movies (No doubt obsessing over the newest book to movie adaption), baking yummy foods (I have a sweet tooth), or attempting to make something cool in graphic design. Sadly, I'm still a newbie and usually epically fail at it. Now that I've bored you with my life story, have a great day! And feel free to drop by my blog at www.readinguntildawn.blogspot.com any time you like. :D

Hi! My name is Marilyn. I live on the outskirts of Melbourne, (Australia) with my husband and our two beautiful children. When not reading or writing, I like to spend time with my family, take long walks in dark forests, or watch romantic movies with satisfying endings.

Getting lost in the fictional world has always been a passion of mine. It is from this passion, that my desire to write, grew and flourished.

Mystery Falls

Secrets. Lies. Deception. For the past six years, Samantha Hunt has lived with the belief that the untimely death of her parents was the result of an unfortunate accident—that by the cruel hand of fate, she had been left an orphan. But it was a lie, a terrible lie told to her by those who wanted to keep her in the dark. And the truth... when revealed, will change her life and haunt her forever.
Suddenly plagued by a series of events which find her in danger and in need of a savior, Samantha is repeatedly rescued by the mysterious and elusive Shadow—a stranger who seems to know more about her past and the tragedy which befell her family, than she does. Drawn to him despite the antagonism she feels whenever in his presence, Samantha soon discovers that Shadow is not what he appears to be. Determined to learn his true identity and why he has come to Mystery Falls, the small town in which she has spent all of her seventeen years, Samantha not only uncovers the secrets he refuses to share, but also the truth about her own past. A truth which forces her to acknowledge that things are not always as they seem, and sometimes, not even those close to you can be trusted.
Resolved to seeking justice for the unwarranted death of her parents, Samantha embarks on a journey which brings her perilously close to her own demise. Can Shadow use his angel powers to save her yet again, or this time, will he be too late.

Lili Lost in a Book

Lili Lost in a Book

I'm Liliana and I'm 21.

Some things about me:

I am a 1st year nursing student (just started Fall 2012!)

I love reading (duh!) and writing.

My favorite color is purple.

I'm the horror movie type of girl (I love getting scared for some odd reason...the adrenaline rush!)
I am totally in love with mythology! I love all mythology (Egyptian, Norse, etc...) but Greek has got to be my favorite! My favorite gods/goddesses include: Apollo (god of the sun, music, archery, and healing), Hecate (goddess of crossroads and magic/witchcraft), and I have recently added Hades (god of the dead and the Underworld) to that list, as well.

If I were to have some super cool supernatural ability, it would be healing. Now, If I were to be a supernatural creature, I'd be a witch! I love witches and all their magical witchiness! And right next to witches, my favorite supernatural creatures are reapers. This is thanks to books like Madison Avery, the Soul Screamers, and my favorite: Croak by Gina Damico! I still haven't figured out of this is morbid or not, lol.

So hi, my name is Rashika and I am a diplobrat. Right now I live in Finland. I love to read and I like to share my opinions about books I read. Reading is important to me but what fun is reading when you cannot share your opinions?
I also like writing out my feelings about the books I read. My reviews are more along the “say the first thing that comes to my mind” lines. My blog is way for me to make everything more organized because I am obsessed with organization.
I do it for myself though because someday when I am super old it would be fun to read all of the stuff I have to say.
I am on a mission to find the perfect book although I think we all are. I have had some close encounters with “the one” but none have quite reached the mark. The closest I have ever come was “On the Jellicoe Road” (although my opinion is likely to change).
I am weird and I get super excited when talking about books. I’ve also been trying to write a book. I’ve started three, gave up each time. Maybe someday. I’m not much of a writer. More like following the “If it doesn’t exist, write it” policy.
Oh and when I am sad, I like reading reviews to bad books. It makes me feel better(like I said, I am weird).
I also love to bake and I am a huge Star Wars fan.
Thanks and drop by my blog if you have some spare time.

Two sisters that have the same passion. Reading, blogging, writing, and spending hours staring at their computers. They've always loved reading and after stumbling upon the blogging community in 2011 they just couldn't stay away.

Juhina: 22 years old, a Chemical Engineering graduate. She occupies her time by reading, blogging, and watching wayyyyyy too many shows. She's a perfectionist, sometimes to the point of obsession, and has always taken too much responsibility than what she could handle and usually sacrifices her sleep to keep up with everything.

Farah: 16, is a high school student. She's the more free spirited type of the two which always means that Juhina is always harping on her to do this or that. She's an artist, specializes in manga drawing, she plays her guitar, and takes instagram photography of her healthy food and living.

Hi there! This is Ayanami of Whatever You Can Still Betray. Funny name really for a book blog. I didn't imagine John LeCarre will one day be my banner name although it the blog is not as tragic as it sounds. *laughter*.

My name is Myrtle. Sheesh, there goes my anonymity.  Anyway, I go by Ayanami Faerudo (I don't want to explain about it - too long) online.

I'm a graduate student, major in Asian Studies. I'm a bibliophile who reads all kinds of books, mostly YA, and manga - a passion that spawned this book/random things blog. I keep a journal where I write all the dreams that I remember. I watch films, whatever their genre except indie and I occasionally talk about them in this blog.  I don't watch that much TV but if ever I do, it's mostly tuned in on cooking or house improvement shows. I am one of those who are gaga over anime and a certain farm boy who says "As you wish". I don't like spicy food but I'm a certified chocoholic.

It has, luckily, been relatively well-received, and I have been fortunate to get over 600 viewers a month, numbers growing. Authors such as Marie Lu, Beth Revis, Pauline Harris, Andrea Cremer, Jamie Mcguire, and others have been instrumental to my growing number of viewers each day. I am very pleased with the turnout of my blog in such a short time span, but I still hope to expand it!

Outside of reading my hobbies are baking, music, teaching myself to crochet (badly might I add), watching silly YouTube videos and training for a marathon.

Reviewers Wanted: Immortal Threat by Wendy Ahrens-Gaydos

Book Description:

Good versus Evil.

Light versus Dark.

It's a battle that has been fought since the beginning of time and all Rhiana wanted out of life was to be able to do her part in tipping the scales in the favor of good & light each day.

With the help of her coven that stretches across continents and the support of the deities above she truly believes her actions make a difference in the world. Mundane her life isn't, but in a matter of hours it becomes turned upside down so many times Rhiana isn't sure she will ever get it straightened out again. There are other forces working against her, natural and otherwise, and they've decided to strike where it would hurt the most - members of the High Priestess's coven.

The brutal attacks are followed with a death threat that strikes fear in everyone and Rhiana starts to wonder if she'll be able to protect the people she loves and defeat an evil that thirsts for nothing less than complete destruction. With the help of every witch in her coven and her abilities in the Craft she decides to fight for everything that she loves and believes in. Will it be enough?

About the Author

Wendy Ahrens-Gaydos

Wendy Ahrens-Gaydos started writing poetry and short stories at the age of 9 and never put the pen down, always dreaming of becoming a published author. After graduating from Abilene High School in Abilene, Texas she chose to enlist in the U.S. Navy and served as a Hospital Corpsman for 11 years. The military gave her many experiences and gifts, including her husband James.

Wendy left the service in 2005 to be a stay-at-home mom to their then only child - a beautiful and brilliant daughter Rhiana - and to support James in his continuing military career.

Now when Wendy isn't writing she works as a photographer, chases her hilarious toddler twin boys Isaac and Zachary, admires a 4th grade Rhiana who has apparently caught the writing bug from her mother as well and is attempting to spend more time with her husband that recently retired after 22 years of service. They live in the Pacific Northwest in Lake Stevens, Washington which they all love, including the rain.
